Question Ground Clearance on a 928?

Hi all!

I was wondering what the ground clearance for a 928 is? Here at work they built two really mean looking speed bumps and I'm worried about scratching the car...

Too low for many driveways!

Take the offending bump at an angle instead of head-on. The wheel will meet the bump and start lifting the car over it, so that the body will be able to clear once it gets there. This technique can get a 928S over most mundane driveways and bumps. Slow and steady, get a spotter to help the first time over if you're not comfortable going it alone. Good luck

I took it real easy at bit of an angle. I'll probably hear if it scratches, luckily I didn't!

You will get better ride and handling at stock ride height - and you don't have to worry so much about speed bumps and driveways!

Edwill,
Listen to WallyP. Crank it up to where it's supposed to be. You will notice the improvement in ride and handling...and your undercarriage wil thank you. If you don't have the shop manuals, use 'search' to find specs and procedure, or go to Nichols' site at http://www.nichols.nu/tips.htm

Thanks guys...
I recently bought this car privately and the guy really had it customized...

Why do people normally advertise "lowered suspension" when they sell a car? This is obviously not the best thing to do. Looking cool is probably the only advantage!

I disagree. I think the cars often look too tall in the front with an excess of space between the tire and the fender. Also, lowering the car helps with cornering. Might not be good for ride quality on the street. Ask the serious racers where they run the car. 90mm is the lowest I've heard.

I run my car at 155 all around. Does make railroad crossings, potholes and steep driveways more difficult. But the look and handling are great!
