Well it's not that bad Ed... Just the paint has suffered and I hit it a few times with my 7's trying to park too close. It has been covered for what it's worth. Interior still smells of leather.
Just sayin.
Well, I was reacting to the "frame damage" statement. Of course, these cars are frameless unibody construction. But if that is bent, that could be a real problem from a safety issue and from a regular maintenance issue with tires, etc. If the body is bent, the cost to repair that may be well above the worth of the car. Either way, good luck with it.

Steve, even I missed what might otherwise be the obvious first step and that is to simply see if the tires with the rotten sidewalls might actually hold air, at least for long enough to move the car.

I never said I wanted to fix it. It's just there.
Jerry, I had to move it a couple of years ago because it's parked behind the land lord's little box trailer that he wanted to use. I got air in all but 2 tires (temporarily).

Thanks everyone, I found my answer in the first reply from Jerry.

You have a 928 which you have no intention of selling...or fixing....and you are a paid member of the Forum and not a user.

Classy!

You could replace both of those cars with an 84 Dodge caravan.

Is anyone in the NJ area interested in this vehicle for parts? They're all there.
It is burgundy. I have to find some pics but was hoping someone would just come and get it and put it to good use.
It has around 90,000 miles. I had the water pump and timing belt replaced right before it last ran.
The interior is in very descent shape.
There was an issue with the 2nd gear synchros when it ran.

Did I miss the part where you offered to sell the entire vehicle? As I said: I might be interested. Post some pics.

I'm in Elizabeth NJ. I have some old (but new) 225/50R16 snows that are too old to be sold but I will give them to you just to move the car around. If you bring me the wheels off the car I'll mount them for you. No charge for anything. Just paying it forward.

If you have a 5 speed car, it's more desirable than an automatic. If it were me, I would spend half the day cleaning it up, taking some pictures, and creating a nice for sale ad. If the car is somewhat decent, someone will definitely want to save it.

Good luck!

whatever happened with this? I have a set of four good rims and tires, phone dials from a 78 928. That should fit an 84. I'm in Los Angeles though.
