Default Scotland North Coast 500

This is my first road trip after the restoration, I decided to go “all in” and do the North Coast 500, rated as one of the best road trips you can do.

We will do around 750 miles in total over 7 days and will take in all of the NC 500 and add on the Isle of Skye on top.

That should give the car a good test!

We are now 4 days in, so much to take in.......

But let me bring you up to date

Dunrobin Castle, first stop after Inverness

This place is amazing

Thanks Joe, hope you are both recovering after the marathon performance.

More photos to come. The route is exceeding all expectations.

Cool trip!

On Saturday we leave for Ireland and Scotland... Starting with golf at Old Head and Adare with 5 star lodging at Adare Manor.

Then on to Scotland with more five star lodging at St. Andrews Old Course Hotel for four nights... 6th through 10th.

Then to North Berwick on the 11th.

Then to "Trumps Dump" Turnberry on the 12th.

Royal Troon on the 13th.

Any chance we can find time to get together at any point in your travels? We have a "driver" so I'm not perfectly mobile but I can make requests...

It would be a blast to rocket off to a distillery with you for a "Wee Dram" or two, three, four, ten.....

Day 5 was Gairloch to Isle of Skye

We went across the Skye bridge and are staying near Dunvegan Castle - home of the McLeods

The drive down to the corral beach near Dunvegan was well worth it even if the 928 had to its best impression of a Land Rover due to the rough roads.
As well as the corral beach we did a bit seal spotting and drank in the views
