^^ You're going to want the -26 (probably Bosch's supercession of the -23 part). The -69 part has a different pin setup internally.
The -26 has 1 positive and 1 negative. The -69 has 2 positives and gets ground from the outside of the sensor IIRC.
Your US 84 has an L jet computer and it is wired differently than the later LH jet.
Just order from 928 International or 928 R Us and tell them your year and they will get you the part you need.

'What part number do I need?'
and
'Why is my car doing this?'
For the part number and the years it fits, the 80-84 US is L-Jet.
The 84 RoW and up (including the US S3 and later) is LH 2.2 or 2.3.
Very different computers and different sensors (wiring setup). 84 US and 84 RoW are very different.
Your 82 US will take the 80-84 one. The -26.
No clue why it's having the hot start issues.

You're asking two different questions.
'What part number do I need?'
and
'Why is my car doing this?'

Reason I asked again was because person reply starting with "yours is 84" where i did specify mine as 82 but yet the very first post in this thread was started with similar question and 84 car, hence a person might also referred to that post.

Anyway thank you for clarifying the part # for updated revision.
