Both cross reference to the same water temperature sensor and as far as I know they are not used on a 928.

No todo lo contrario: NO son sensores Temp II y NO se usan en ningún otro 928 que yo sepa.

Why don’t you just order the sensor that you need from Roger? He’s been helpful. He’ll get you the correct Bosch part for your car for far less than a Porsche dealer. And supporting our 928-specialty vendors keeps them in business and 928s on the road when Porsche doesn’t GAF about us.

Well I do not ask because I have a bosch sensor with the reference 0280130032 and first of all I would like to know if it is equivalent to the other bosch reference 0280130069 or the original porsche reference

The Bosch part 0280130069 is a Temp II sensor which will provide information to both the ignition computer (EZF/EZK) and fuel injection computer (LH)

Three Wheelin'
javiherdepa: You have the premier 928 parts supplier on earth and several of the most talented 928 owners that wrench on these automobiles replying to your question and still, "hence my doubt". They have given you information that is accurate and you should just get the part they recommended. Whatever other part you have, wherever you got it and irrespective of any cross-reference chart/page/part number is shown that you refer to, IT IS WRONG! End of story! Sheesh!

Hey Guys,
First post here, although not firs time reading on this forum, very amazed by volume of knowledge you can find here.
This post got little confused. Originally person of the post mentioned he has the 84 and looking for the Temp II sensor.
after many answers finally I've read post by Roger
"Look like the wrong Temp II
84 (ROW) to 95 including S2 &S3 is Bosch 0280130069
80 to 84 is Bosch 0280130026"
then he corrected it for 0280130069
and here it is where i got problem is that part number for 84 up or for 80 to 84? Btw, me being me not reading all the way down first I placed order for 0280130026 before got to the correction post LOL
so now about my problem and little backstory
just got 82 AT "rescue" one (another one even worst shape is on the way but is 83 M, so transmission swap in the summer yay)
Started with all the works. ground points, spark plugs, injectors, new fuel pump cleaned tank new filter and strainer.
Car starts goes back and forward idle little to high but since rpm not working will get to that later. (yes already checked the connectors in the spare tire without luck)
And here is where I'm stuck
when car get hot it wont start again. Through some r&d I can start the car in two ways
1) put plastic tube, rubber hose in a AFM - starts right away, remove tube and still runs good
2) disconnect Temp II sensor, crank the car. Car will start than die. After that I connect back Temp II sensor and car starts like nothing ever happened.
Already replaced temp II for the 0280130026 one, same results.
So any ideas guys?
plus whats the correct part number for my Temp II.?
The one I removed "originally" was 0280130023. WSM list that as Temp Sensor without mentioning which temp sensor exactly.
should i go with .........069 or .........023
Sincerely
Mike
