It's been on sale before, in fact I'm surprised it sold the first time.

Looks like a 16 valve engine to me, in an 85? Maybe a euro chassis? Oh well, not my thang.

It was for sale before, and discussed fairly thoroughly.

Ridiculed mercilessly, but discussed.

I have to give Greg some props. He accurately predicted that someone would want a big intake or a blower sticking out of the hood (post 21).

Porsche guy: “That’s offensive!”
Ferrari guy: “you only think you’re offended, I”m more offended!”
Porsche guy: “no one gets more offended than Porsche guys!”
Ferrari guy: “except Ferrari guys”
etc.

Why is the seller flipping me off in the photo?

Is it a act of defiance, or does he know me personally?

Serious question:

It's a 16v motor (most likely a 4.7 US). The water bridge has been removed. It almost looks like the upper hose goes into the left side and the lower goes into the right side (Hard to tell) It looks like the water bridge ports have just been blocked off. There seems to be a breather of some sort in the upper water hose.

Will this setup actually cool the motor? I don't know enough about the coolant flow/coolant passages/layout/setup of the system to make a guess.

But the seller claims to have driven it from Vegas to Austin. Which would get it up to temp.

He also claims it's a "5.0", which is crap. He also claims to have '4 other 928s', which I doubt. He'd know the difference between a 16v & 32v if he did, I would think.

So to repeat the question, from the pics (in the thread I linked), will this motor run for any length of time? Or will it overheat almost immediately?

Edit 'cuz I looked at some other pics and realized that the hoses are just going into the thermostat housing. Duh (tolja I didn't know a whole lot about the cooling system).
