Best bet would be the C7 Z06 7-speed which is mated to a 650hp FI engine, so at least twice the strength of a 928 box.
I have that box and have just bought a 3D scanner to do the measurements, however my problem is I have many many jobs....

Just a few years ago one of our members happened to ask at the local dealership about NOS autoboxes, and found that a stash was being offered at clear-the-shelves pricing. For grins, it might be worth a look to see if any of these NOS and obsolete manual gearboxes are available similarly. Roger/Mark, you have access to worldwide Porsche inventory data. Any hiddne gems gathering dust in a warehouse or dealer inventory somewhere?

It would help if you listed year/model/miles.

Is the ‘88 LSD transmission still with the turbo-friendly 2.20 rear end and conventional non-psd differential? Just checking.

Tuomo,

Auto boxes are amazingly turbo-friendly. I'm more than casually surprised that you are testing the mettle/metal of a factory manual gearbox as part of your TT project.

My preference is for a manual gear box. Plus in any case it’ll be one more thing for me to learn and understand and see if it can be made to work.
