I just re-painted door sills on a black S4 and the paint was a dead match.

All you need is the Porsche paint code for your colour. Once you have that the "recipe" is defined and most decent paint suppliers should be able to blend it for you. Not sure how the cellulose versus water based thing works out but given you are doing a full respray it should not be any issue.

As others have mentioned, any of the major auto paint companies/suppliers should be able to provide the right color in whatever amount you need, once you give them the correct paint code for your car (which I assume is "655" in your case). If you are planning to have an automotive paint shop do the work they will be able to mix the paint to that specific code. They will probably sell you the paint if you wish to do the job yourself.

Go to an automotive paint supplier locally with the color code and take your gas door lid with you. Have them take their spectrometer (if that's the right word) to the gas door lid and they can tweak the color for the best match.

I had my Shark filled and repainted after I removed the rubbies. The body guy matched the paint by removing the gas door and taking it with him to his paint supplier. An absolutely perfect match; you can't tell it was ever painted. This is also how I found out my car is painted rosso corsa.
