Mobil 1 15w50. Put on a new Mann filter. Took almost 10 quarts.
It's got good pressure and the level is good, still has that light on though.

One of the gurus will probably post to tell you that the problem is probably your oil pressure sensor which is super easy to replace, and they will probably tell you it's flashing because the low pressure light is on a different circuit than the gauge itself or something like that, but I am not a electronic wizard, and have never professed to be. I believe that electricity works by magic and is not something that I should be trifling with.

I've honestly wondered if some of that noise is lifters myself. It does seem loud for injectors to me, bit I'm not familiar with these cars so not sure. I'm hoping it's not lifters, but I'm still trying to figure out the rough running off idle.

I don't recall how long it's been sitting but a modest amount of lifter clatter isn't anything to worry about if it's been sitting a long time. They will all eventually fill with oil and quiet. If they don't, and you have some remaining clatter after a few hundred miles, it may be collapsed, but deal with that after some warm running.

Decided to tackle a couple small things after work today that could be done in the garage (raining off and on outside).
First off, I cleaned the contacts on the fuel sender that were corroded and now have a working fuel gauge.
Calling this a small victory for now.
Also found this build sticker in the back under the carpet.
Also decided that getting the windows working is going to be a must if I want to be able to drive the car at all this summer (hvac blower presently not working). The volts drop and the lights dim when hitting the window switches, but neither budge. Took off the drivers door card to inspect the mechanism and found a plastic roller on the regulator broken. Glued it back together to take measurements. Hopefully with the help of some thought enhancer I'll be able to model something and print a replacement part.

Maybe, but would be tricky to attach because the piece that it rotates on is a shaft with a large flat heat at the end and is riveted on, so it would be very difficult to get something over that without breaking it. I'm trying to make something in two sections. The inner part which goes over the shaft in two pieces, then the outer roller that will go over that.

Let me know. With any luck paperwork will come through and this thing will be legal by then. It's a race to see if I can get it running right or legal first right now.

Got the trans fluid changed today.
Nice and dirty down there.
I swear I need to bug bomb the garage with this car in it. I've found so many spiders and spider webs in it that I don't know how there are any left in the wild.
Despidered and degreased things before going back on. Heat shield went back on reservoir after filling.
Also got the passenger's side window going up and down today too.
Gearbox was hard to turn, and pretty dry.
Found that the magnets in the casing of the motor were chipped up and even after freeing the rotor it still wouldn't work. Ended up taking a motor from the 84 and now I have both windows working. Sunroof even works too, but very slowly due to the leather coming off the inside of it, so it's just gonna stay shut for now.
