Read the responses to your last post again - gas is pouring in thru the injectors: If the cold start injector was removed and the manifold plugged, then it is correct that it is not the problem; however, it could still be the cold start injector on L-jetronic if by disconnecting, you mean pulling the wire harness( that will not help a leaking injector connected to a pressurized fuel line) - otherwise, as per the previous post.
The temp sensorII/ECU could be involved; however, the car's history as you've detailed indicates 'varnish fouling' from old fuel IMHO.
stick with it & good luck

I was hopeing this was just the result of the little old lady driveing around like a little old lady. Apperently not. Darn.
Like Garth said, did you pull the cold start injector and plug the hole? If not, the injector could still be leaking and causeing your problem.
Next check the Temp II sensor. It's the vertical sensor dirictly under the cross brace in the engine bay. IIRC, it's like 200-300 Ohms when the engines warm, and like 4k Ohms when it's cold. I could be wrong there. My book is outside, and I can't get it right now.
(Edited in. Pull the vacuum lines off of the back sides of the fuel regulaters. See if the inside of the line is wet. Is is possible that you have a full scale hemregine of the diaframs, and you've got a eight inch line of fuel headed streaight for the throtal body. To fix, you'd need to change the regulater or regulaters.)
If it's neighter of the above, you need to pull the injector rails, and find the leaking injector. A pain in the neck, but you can do it. A copy of the WSMs would come in real handy when you do this. (And your probably will.)
Good luck.
