What is this

As I was testing some interior vac lines the other day, this fell out of the drivers side access panel. As I traced out the line it went through the foot heater vent to the passenger side where it ended in a blue female pin connector that was not attached to anything. Does anyone know what this is and where (on both ends) it should be attached. It appears to be possibly a temp sensor?

Where is the 'driver's side access panel'? I don't recall a reference to that area before.
It does not appear to be OEM - perhaps Tony's got it.

Doug,
I Tony may be onto something here. Can you clean out the grime (dust/sand/dirt) in the connector so we can get a a better look at it?
My old cellphone connector (cirac 1989/90) look different. You may want to wrap black tape around it and tuck it back up from whence it came...hold off on the excising until you know what you have for sure. Just my $0.02![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Best,
