Neat oil neck baffle....
I came across this very neatly welded oil neck baffle on a recent trip to the UK. It was made by a very friendly chap named Peter who appears to have some serious welding skills...!
(It seems to be a further development on another baffle I have seen online before)... Anyone here seen/fitted this to their 928? And what are the benefits?

I would suggest to test fit that part to a block to verify fitment,
The GB part does look very similar but is not welded like that part,
and if the welding is not done properly then the part will not sit flush,
nor will the oil fill spout fit to the top of the part

The angles on Greg's are different - but basically looks like an approximate copy

Yes, pretty good copy with some absolutely beautiul welding....I wish mine looked that good!
Just missing a couple of really important features, that can't be seen, in pictures of my pieces (intentionally.)
Such a shame for such beautiful welding to miss important details....it won't work very well.

i did this 14 years ago after seeing Louis Otts set up and thought i could improve upon it a bit. Still in the car...no issues.
AO has one in his S/C car also.
holy crap 14yrs ago? where has the time gone!

I agree about the angles. Lots sold in America or GB has sold a lot in America 8>)

I have the GB one. It's a work of art. I won't use any other if I were you.

Thank you for comment on the welding it's so easy when working with new metal on a bench . just a tip if not already known for people welding old aluminum ie rub strip delete wipe the surface with acetone to achieve a better weld.
