Hello to everyone I finally finished stripping my parts car and decided to look inside the transmission, I am not an expert on gear boxes but this looks really clean, What do you guys think? I'm thinking about just swapping it out with the one in my car with bad syncroes

Other than seeing rounded off dog teeth or chips in gears it is nearly imposible to tell much by looking. Roll the dice or take it apart

Thanks for the reply's I was amazed at the condition when taking the cover off. What your looking at is untouched just the cover removed it looks to me like its new but what do I know about gear boxes other than I cant see any signs of anything coming apart or getting hot.

10-12 hours. Replacing most of the parts takes no time...old part or new part install the same. The exception are pieces related to the ring and pinion (bearings, damaged gears, installing a limited slip differential.) Set-up of ring and pinion is time comsuming, requires special tools, and special knowledge.

You've supplied a good picture of 5th gear and a lesser quality picture of 3rd and 4th. These are not very informative....by the time these are worn out, 1st and 2nd are terrible.
