So I seem to remember this has was mentioned on a sub post, so presuming engine is apart what is the recommendation on replacing the rings ?
They appear to be inexpensive and the bores in our 928's in general have imperceptable wear with reasonable mileage.
If it is OK to just replace what are the guidlines on bedding in ?
Thanks
Chris

I put my 5 liter short block together with just replacing the rings and bearings after a clean up. bores looked very good after cleaning.
From what i understand there is really no seating process. I ran my car to tahoe and back , went to the dyno, dynoed 293 to the rear wheels, and then raced it in my first POC race at buttonwillow on a two race weekend.
drove it home from the track too. no oil useage, great oil temps, and good compression. ran for 2 seasons this way, and hp always was over 285 at the wheels. (part euro 5 liter with euro intake TB runners, RRFRs , cams, and heads )
