I ran 12.76 @ 109.7 mph or 12.4 @ 112.9 in the quarter mile.

Thanks Mark,
Yep w/ Whipple 2300AX twin-screw at about 8.8 psi. I don't know the power as I haven't dynoed it w/ the bigger intercooler and 8.8 psi. I am guessing around 400 at the wheels 500 at the crank. Before someone goes to one of those on-line calculators and computes HP from weight and ET please realize they are for cars properly setup for drag racing i.e. not cars with 2.2 gears.
Used Kumho 265/35 18s at normal street pressure.
Did I mention the car is about 3850 lbs w/ driver, and I am using stock exhaust w/ cats and rear muffler in place? The only thing missing from the car is the spare because that's where my water tank is temporarily.
Jim good points on wind resistance. The car pulls really hard until it hits 3rd at 88mph or so. The shift from 2nd to 3rd is really slow and soft. The car seems to only be fully engaged in third for the last 200 ft or so. I cross the line at 5000 rpms so I am not even making peak power in third. I guess Ideally Iwould be geared to hit the revlimiter just as I crossed the line in 3rd. Oh well, plenty to think about.

Yes, you are probably pushing 400 at the wheel. Those are damn impressive numbers, especially with the A/T.
With my car before any of the mods I made, I measured a 13.6 @ 114 MPH with a G-Tech....those are supposed to measure high on the MPH, so in track talk it is probably around 108 MPH or so, but the time is good. This was with about 310 RWHP and stock gears on a cold night.
I don't really want to try that now on the roads, because I am pushing 400 to the road and it will be much higher on the MPH now, but I would expect the car is down around the high 12 second range. All in all, not all that important to me, but it is still a great way to measure the car's accelleration.
I have always said 40 to about 130 is where it counts.
Careful pushing that boost....you might just pass Lag up on the way to the end of the strip.

Just got my latest issue of EXCELLENCE.
Here's some numbers for comparison of a 2001 996TT (highly modified..street legal) and a new GT2 at Infineon Raceway and of course i added our 928S4's
...............996TT....GT2.......Andys Whipple...Stock s4
60ft.........1.980.....2.070........ 2.076
330ft.......5.194.....5.590
1/8mi.......7.790.....8.393.........8.32
1/8 mph...96.00.....89.69 ........88.109
1/4mi......11.748....12.704.......12.76.............14.4
1/4mph...124.18....112.72.......109.7.................97
Later in the article the 996TT after even more mods (Co2chiller etc..drag radials) posts a 1/4 of 11.46sec/125.53mph
Just thought Id post this as many of us have been looking for "street" numbers for comparison purposes. Although these arent "true" street numbers, you get the idea. Some 0-60...0-100 would be great as well!

Good #s Tony.
I wonder what's the rear tire size on the GT2 335?
I am going to POC drivers's school at the Streets of Willow this Saturday and Sunday to the short track event. I understand you run with cars as fast as yours for the short track event. Does this mean I will be running with GT2s?
Normy,
As soon as I get the 32v systems shipped I am working on Jims car.

I'll be in the novice class since I have no track experience. I'm really looking forward to it, and would appreciate any feedback on your coming weekend.
Be safe, and have fun!

The only 1/4 mile run I have ever done since I am doing this on a public road and it is a bit unnerving. The 0 - 60 times are very consistent as I run these often on my cars especially when do various modifications. I have heard of people using G-Techs at the drag stip and reporting that the G-Tech times are right on with regard to their time slips. I was really surpised as to how close the hp and torque cruves are with the G-Tech. I though no way these could be on. I recently went to a dyno and my G-Tech results are right on with regard to the cruves and maybe only 2 or 3 off with regard to various peaks in the hp and torque curves.

I would think that in order to obtain the results that you got requires that an accurate vehicle weight is supplied to the GTech. Did you get the vehicle weighed along with the driver?
It's good to know that it's apparently so accurate!

The weight is really only an issue on G-Tech dyno runs for hp purpose. The 0 - 60 times and etc. wont change even if you put 10,000 pounds in there. I have 4 cars and have calibrated it for each car.
Martin, I have both the pro and the competition. The competition is what you need for screen shots like the one above. The pro is only a small red digital LED and that is all you get. Irun them side by and side and they are dead on and usually only deviate .0X range such as 4.92 on one and 4.95 on the other. The compeition just has all of the fun stuff and lets you down load into your computer.
