Interesting but so predicable with the comment about Greg Brown having replaced a shift cable and now THIS !! Points out the problem of working on very old cars Once you touch it anywhere you tend to inherit any and all subsequent issues. Every since you changed the timing belt the brakes squeal.....

Glad you got this one fixed decampos. For future reference, another item that can cause this no start issue is a failed neutral safety switch.
