Default Turbo Twist Wheels ?

My local tire store has a set of 18" Turbo Twist wheels with a set of worn Michelin Pilots on them. I think that they are staggered sizes. 2 265/35 18 and 2 225/35 18. He said that I can have them for $200. I already have a set on my 87 s4. My question is: Is this a good deal? Sure seems like it to me. I thought I would swap out the best ones and put them on my car and sell the other four. I just hope I can get rid of them easily and if I break even I will be happy. Any thoughts?

Impossible to comment without knowing the offsets. 993 Turbo twists or 996 Turbo twists?

Thanks for the reply, I didn't know there was a difference. I will check on that tomorrow. Do you know which offset I need to fit my 87 928 s4?

ET65 for the front and around ET55 for the rear [less critical]. As I am aware there are no turbo twists with 65 front offset and the ones you have seen are more likely ET52 or thereabouts. I ran my late S4 with such wheels - looked superb but that offset kills the NSR and that gooses the steering geometry Porsche specified for the 928. To be clear they fit and look real nice but I felt they compromised handling and sold them to a friend with a 911. Some folks drive with such and never notice the difference.

I did pick up the turbo Twist wheels today. He let me trade him some wheels that I had for a Range Rover that couldn't sell for the life of me. So win win for me. The rim size is: Front 7.5x18 and 9Jx18 for the rear. I wondering if these will fit my 87 s4?

What is the offset?

There should be a number cast right by the valve stem "ETxx".

The "xx" is the number that is important.

The 7.5x18 is ET50
The 9x18 ET 52

50 is right on the edge of what most people consider acceptable.

The front wheels aren't going to stick out much, but if you are sensitive to how the car handles, it won't be as good as it is supposed to be.

The only reason that I'm considering changing is two reasons. 1st the rears that I have now rub a little. 275/35 18 Turbo Twists, I haven't looked to see what the offset is. The fronts are 235/40x18. The 2nd reason is that the new wheels are in much better shape than what I have now. I guess I could always sell the new ones and have my old ones powder coated. I'm just thinking out load here, thanks for listening and answering my questions
