It's still got the electrical problem. Replaced the CE panel. Changed out all the relays, all new fuses. Took it for a test run in the neighborhood, made a right turn around a corner and it started cutting out, missing, put it back in the garage. I'll play with it later. Got new caps, rotors, and wires. They're next, along with plugs. Should I go to a colder plug with the blower?

Could that be because it has no electricity?
Lucas kit usually had problems before they left the factory. Jaguars used to leak oil in the dealers showroom. My Brit bikes had magnetos but the lights with 6 volt electrics were a joke- and they always leaked oil somewhere no matter how **** one was with the maintenance. When you are used to crap like that the 928 is relatively trouble free. Then you pull the wiring harness like I did today- expected problems with it and it did not disappoint!
Joe's concern is surprising for someone who has a Detomato Potatoplanter .

In 2007 I had a little issue with my 928.
It's still sitting in the garage. The only thing that keeps me from sending it to the crusher is the money aspect.

2009 was when I really wanted to set my car on fire. It would run fine on cold start, but as soon as it warmed up, it acted like it was in limp mode, went full rich to the point where there was blue and black smoke coming out the back and would stall.
I basically 'shotgunned' parts for it and through the list of anything from a new MAF and LH, to a full intake service, fuel regulator, damper, caps, rotors and CE panel refurbishment. It still ran like crap after about $3k in parts.
Then one day, I had the airbox off and noticed a loose wire under the fuel damper right after replacing it. A loose LH ground went completely unnoticed even after changing out the damper above it. Some DeOxit and a pinch of Loctite blue on the threads basically cured the loose ground and the car has roared to life since through all temperature variations an engine could go through.
Then Fuse 24 happened.... I will leave that there before I go take birdshot to the car.

New internal and external fuel pumps, filter and hoses, pressure regulator and damper. New fuel lines, rebuilt LH from John Speak. Cleaned all the grounds, even the one at the intensive washer fluid tank. New CPS, Hall sensor, and temp II.
There may be a wire touching when I replaced the CE panel. I'll fool with it next week.
FWIW, the panel I took out had come from a dismantler, there was that yellow marker paint with 89 928 on the side next to the trans tunnel. I'd never seen that before. The original owner, was here on Rl, for years, then drifted away after he sold the car. He checked the registry, and found out that I had bought the car, and he'd found a set of keys while packing up for a move. He sent me the keys for free. He also said that the car had an electrical glitch, since it was new.
I guess that electrical problem has just gotten worse over the years. I'm terrible at electrical trouble shooting! I haven't a clue about what I'm doing. If I figure it out, it's just dumb luck.

Never mind ...I didn't see post above. Still might be worth checking the hose connections inside the tank. I had truck that would suck air when the fuel got below half tank. The right turn may cause a connection to briefly suck air. Easy test...top off the tank and make some right turns.
