928 aggravations
There are times I feel like setting fire to my S4, and collecting the insurance! But most of the time, I love it. Got to much time and money in it to destroy it! lately it's just aggravating!
I'm going to the Shot Show tomorrow, and letting it sit in garage with the Aero Coupe to talk to the rest of the week. Maybe a little time out, will change it's attitude!

I think sometimes we search for things to be wrong or assume that after 30 years it just "has" to be replaced. In our enthusiasm to fix our cars we sometimes break things that otherwise would never have been touched and probably been OK. I'm relatively new to the 928s but have done the aforementioned on many a BMW.

Hey, while at the Shot Show, see if you can find a Sig MCX Rattler, it's sure to take your mind off your S4.

I agree that we create a lot of our own frustrations trying to repair 30 year old parts that were never designed to be repaired. They were designed to be replaced once they fail. I spent 3 hours today chasing an electrical problem I created while "cleaning" an HVAC head. Still not sure I fixed to original "problem" or not. But the fan works again!! I look at it as just the price of driving one of the greatest cars of all time.

My Sprite has no electrical problems! Some may recall that it had a detonation issue, but the bomb squad took care of that.
To be a little more sympathetic to Mr. Polecat, my small tolerance for frustration has not yet been tested by my 928. It's just a matter of time, though. Its been making a funny noise, seemingly minor, but I'm told the torque tube must come out - potential frustration.
