That was a really fun day out at Eagles Canyon. Had no idea that we were doing interview intro's either. Felt like such a goob sitting there.

The next few weeks are going to be fun with the videos Matt puts out, we had some really fun cars there. Farrah picked mine to go first since it was the slowest one

Hey I was wondering if that was you. That's the funny thing about this forum. You come to know people by their reputation and posts but few of us actually met most of us.

I really really liked the video. You could tell Matt was impressed with the car. He clearly took it easy but it still sounded great. I also didn't know you daily that. Cool!

LOL that was great, I watched it this am and thought it was you (never met you). Awesome car and you did great, it's never easy being on video like that if you're not used to it. Impressive performance all around!

No one really wants to see themselves on ‘TV.’ They think they do, but the reality is often ... more ‘interesting’ than anticipated.

Big ***** lettin’ Farrah learn the track in your ‘slow’ car. :0

Did you have fresh (>80%) brake pads in it?

Given what he said about the transmission, I assume he’s now at the top of Roger’s Mortal Enemy List.

In Texas that’s part of a Hillbilly Anit-Theft (HAT) system. There’s a lot of competition around hats along with prestige associated with having the biggest, tallest, or most-exclusive hat.

Way to go Sean - your daily driver presented herself with total aplomb. (look it up if you have to 8>)
As long as I have known Sean this is his daily driver. Significant 928 exhaust rumble every time he turns into my drive way on a parts run.

That was awesome!!! Good job Sean!!! You and your car represented the 9-2-8 VERY well. :-) Damn that sounded beautiful going around the track, and from a distance the lines still look like a modern car to me. Yeah he definitely needs to visit Wisconsin and take in a few of the powerhouse 928's from up there, especial Turbo Todd's beast!!!

This whole deal was put together by the guys at ATS Racing just down the street from me. Super well known guys in the MR2 tuning community and I've known the owner for years as my neighbor is big in the 240 scene. These guys were doing high power cars before the first Fast & Furious movie came out. Matt gets thousands of requests to fly out and video peoples cars and when Aaron told him that they had a bunch of goofy '80's cars for him to play with he jumped on it. A Lotus Esprit, Callaway Corvettet, few MR2's, a Ferrari 308. All of them modified by ATS with some good HP numbers. Aaron just wanted Matts opinion on whether he had screwed them up or if they were still fun cars in this day and age. I honestly figured Matt would not want to do my car since it looks like such **** exterior wise. running skinny $250.00 with tire twist wheels, paint on the roof I wet sanded one boozing evening and of course the dent in the fender that's been there for 5 years. He said he didn't care what it looked like (if you've seen his One Takes you see some of the crap he drives) as long as it was fun. The car is way under tired with these wheels and the guys were a bit unhappy I didn't get my Kinesis wheels fixed before the shoot. He honestly came in to the pit area with a smile on his face as this had only been his 2nd 928 he'd ever driven.

The brakes are cheapy WBC's at right around 80%. Hell, this car hasn't seen a track day since 2009 so saw no need to put anything else on. We knew he was only going to do 3-4 laps total.

We did a dyno day a couple days before just to make sure the tune was good, since all the tuning was done by me or Colin on the road. Glad we did too, the fairly new Behr rad blew a side tank and had to do a quick swap with a CSF we had sitting around. Didn't have time to modify it for the intake snouts so I only put one side on and stuffed a Fuzzy's Taco Shop cup in the other end of the air filter. I'm leaving it too.

I'll post the other vids as Matt posts them up, they are going to be fun to watch.

I've been telling you for 4 1/2 years that we need to replace that damaged front fender. I even told you that I would replace it for you. Now we can't replace it since it is memorialized on the internet. I guess you are gonna have to keep that Fuzzy's cup as well.

Psychology is a wonderful thing- friend of mine in the UK many years ago had a 3 litre Ford Capri S [manual tranny]. It was a popular hot car in its day kind of a UK version of the Mustang. These cars were notorious thief magnets so he used to leave it in the street unlocked. He reasoned that the Tea Leaf would consider it suspect and thus give it a miss. Similarly he figured that the dumb ones who might try to take it would do less damage if the doors were open and he even left the hi fi head unit loose so that it could be removed quickly without smashing the dash panel and anything else in it.
