Yup. Looks like someone started to fix it, then lost interest. Sad, but somewhat typical.
Rear fog, lack of rear corner markers and CIS (I think) means it's likely a Euro.
As is almost always the case, rather overpriced. This is a "scrap value" car.
As reads "front fenders alone worth my asking price".
Ummmm.... No. 928 Int'l has them for $250 each.
I won't dispute the total parts value is worth more (potentially a fair amount more depending on what "Euro bits" are still there), but factoring in dismantling and such, it's still only worth a couple hundred.
This one showed up in 2012 from Alabama just like this. When it left it was very driveable with the body on it and went straight up up to Rob Budd for a complete interior. Came back late last year for more work. It's a charm now.

please tell me it was a weissach for the owner to put that much money into its restoration
I got that beat, but sadly - no pics to prove it. Literally, a tree growing out of an empty engine bay. No windows, no sunroof, bits of cloth and leather strewn about. It was - sad.
Poor thing looks beaten down to a point where it has just given up and accepts it's fate on being crushed. The cement block on the hood is the final blow.
Not even close to the worst I have seen. Chased down a craigslist ad for some part, I don't even recall what out in San Bernardino, not the nice part, not within miles of the nice part. All the windows covered on the house, two big dogs, and in the back yard with grass growing up all over and in it is the remains of a 85ish 928. Apparently once owned by boyfriend of the guys sister, who didn't know people don't immediately go to jail when you turn them in for selling meth. Two weeks of sledge hammer and welding torch. Set of wheels didn't look too bad, but no way was I coming back with any money on me. Not exaggerating, other than the wheels there was nothing to recover.
