Finished intake job. I preferred to change everyesingle vacuum hose and connection, throttle and res flap bearing, hose, clamp etc before reinstall the intake .Just to be sure. I meticolously triple checked everything, i discovered thatty connector coming from intake and oingo to throttle body and brake servo was leaking badly, so connectionctotair pump diverter .... But iimade a mistake from the beginning. I forgot to disconnect battery .So when i crank ed the car LH ecu was working with "old" parameters . Idle was 1200rpm, and was running rough. Disconnected battery, reconnected after 30 minutes , idle was 840 rpm, did idle adaptation with Theo Jenniskens tool. 684 rpm . Went for a test on the road. I can tell you for sure that before was better than the 4 S4 i tested in my life , but I never tested another gts so i cannot tell how better a gts should be than a S4.
Test showed me my car never had knock sensors working since i bought it, it is now way better. I was doing knocks count on the road , 4th gear at 2000 rpms , i pushed accelerator to the floor,, rear wheels started spinning and psd light went on... I think i rescued a lot 9f missing power . No knocks at all with 98roz petrol . Satisfaction reached new limits .. Very happy .

Very nicely done, and always a big bonus when things are working a lot better after than before!
I will also do this job somewhere in distant future, but first I have to finish the other must-do projects i am in the middle of, tb/wp/motor mounts/oil pan gasket/steering rack bushings.
I also have a 92 GTS so I will be looking more closely at your thread when time comes to start intake job.

Paalw, I didi what you have to do in a long period, the worst the TB, because it was first time on a timing belt job, then the motor mounts....but with those jobs done, you will love your GTS more and more....
Fred: thanks again : you are really kind and pockets full of suggestions , when I workon my car.
Vanster: cleaned again injectors.needless to say, they were still dirty.
