Dinsdale still around? Project Idea for him
Hey Dinsdale, if you're still around on here, I saw a 2011 Mustang with a Mercedes M275 V12 under the hood. The sucker is turbocharged stock from the factory but this one made a nice, relaxing, yet unstressed 641HP.
Since you were successful with the 1GZ-FE V12, the M275 may be another great 12-banger candidate. I don't believe the engine is that much taller or wider than the Toyota. There's a nice article online about it, but they don't say much about what the project involved.
Just putting it out there...

The Top Secret car is a bad *** build. The 1GZFE is a great tuning candidate as the motor is understressed out of the factory.

I am expecting baby number two. Car projects are on hold right now. If I go the swap route it's probably going to be an LS3 E-ROD since it's CARB legal - then pop on a roots type Magnacharger (CARB legal also). Again something not for a while. 529 plans come first right now.
However, being one with Mercedes knowledge would make me an asset should one decide to drop a 612ftlb torque Merc V12 into their shark.

S65 AMG V12 Twin Turbo 700HP and 900 Torque.
Prepping for my next 928 project - are you sure it will fit?

The engine swaps, especially the "out of the ordinary" ones are really cool.
I just wish we could figure out a 5 or 6 speed trans swap that does NOT involve modifying or replacing the lower rear cross-member (or chassis).
Didn't Mike Simard mate up a conventional 4-speed to an automatics differential?
I've always wanted to drop one of these into a 928:

With no Jaguar V12 currently on the road, my DD is an 05 CL600 - twin turbo V12. More than once I've thought the Mercedes drivetrain would make a perfect swap into an XJS. Not surprised to see the same idea take root over here; it's a fantastic powerplant.
