What part broke on the little control lever? I might have a 3D printed replacement for you. Or was it one of my parts that failed?
Hi Allan,
Wasn't one of your parts. My own stupidity when I was trying to get the lever extension installed. If you've got a 3D one, that'd be awesome. Otherwise I'm going to try to find a used one.
It is the 107. Great unit. Like it a lot more than the 207 that's in my daily, the wireless carplay rules. Install was pretty straightforward, except the wiring that was in there was a mess. I bet I pulled out 20 feet of wire. Once everything was cleaned up, it was pretty simple. BigAl1's center console is excellent.
Yep, that's the 3D part I have as replacement for the stock item. Someone else had the same problem, so modelled it with ~15% more strength in that area. I'll check my stock tomorrow to see if I have any here. If so, I'll mail it to you - no charge. If not in stock, will take about 20 days to get here, then send to you.

Have the iLX-107 in my 944, and I agree, it's a great unit. Will therefore also install a iLX-107 in my 928. Did you use a particular double-DIN installment kit?
BigAl1 is currently working on my flush center console. Anything you feel that could be done better/different on the flush center console in view of the iLX-107? (Please feel free to send either me or BigAl1 a PM if you don't want to reply publicly.)

Really happy with it. I think the only thing I would have toiled to have seen is a little more integration with a universal double DIN cage. I used a the autostereo one from Amazon, but they’re all pretty much the same. I get why one couldn’t be welded, since that would make the HVAC more of a pita to install, and the trimming of the console more difficult, but I’d love to see tabs or spring clips to hold the cage from the back side.
Again, no major criticisms. BigAl1 is a pleasure to work with, and the instructions are idiot-proof. Overall I’m tremendously happy with it.
