Default Who's custom track intake?

So I was flipping through an 928 book by CP press, looks to be out of the UK circa 2015.
I came across some engine pics of a track 928, late model, perhaps GTS.
Looks to be a custom intake build, with a configuration I've not seen before.
Anybody familiar with this? More info and how did it do?

Darn, it looks like I have been and am spending way too much time on my lower profile intake for my Custom 928 project.

I was pooping as I looked at the book Jake, forgot to include that.

Ok, I googled ITB.
Found this as an example:

I'm fuzzy on how the air gets to the throttle body.
Are the tubes just off in the picture?
What's the benefit of the fabrication?

I'm done pooping but still intrigued...
