Andy,
there's a thread going on right now about cam timing and how it might reduce the CR of a 928. With that being said, we shall all be eager to see if anyone has had successful results because it will change the safe boost levels for SC's substantially.
If we could setup a 9.0:1 CR, what kind of boost could be ran through a 928?
Second question about positive displacement blowers and psi ratios:
When your just tooling around town, not hammering it with a Eaton/Whipple setup, how much psi is going through the engine from the blower?
Is this idle boost level causing substantial impact on the engine wear if your running a 7-12-18 psi SC?
Does a (vacuum actuated?) blowoff valve change the psi or is it just a lack of throttle body opening that keeps the cylender pressure down?

they only make boost when you're on the throttle and there is load present. If i sit with the car in neutral, rev to 4-5k real quick, it would be lucky to get past 0psi (non-vacuum).
I would assume if you're running something like a 10-12 psi pully, you might see 1 or 2 psi boost if you freeload rev the car.
You can drive all around town pretty "normally" and not really ever make boost.... but when you need a burst of speed and you put your foot down, you better be paying attention to the road.
I don't know the technical details of how it all works, but load in the engine determines how much boost you make. Also, the supercharger comes after the throttle body, there are no valves that control boost. The way to change boost is to change your pully to a smaller one on the supercharger.

Pizza,
I will make another batch. The question is, will it be sooner or later. My first commitment is helping this group get their's installed. Your effort in saving money will not be wasted.
Warren,
I haven't had time to look at the post you are referring to and doubt I will have time so I won't try to answer your question yet. It appears that mspiegel has very accurately answered part of your question though. Thanks Mike!
Steve_C,
It will be soon. I just need a day or two away from my normal job so that I can finish up. It could be as early as the end of next week or as far away as three. You seem to be ready to install. I will work on getting parts to the people who are ready to install ASAP.
I am traveling this week for work.

FeedNFrenZ,
I'll make a note that you want one.
It looks like I should be getting together a list of people that want to get in on a second run. When I am very near completion of the first run I will start a thread for a 2nd run.

Andy and I just finished a pretty complete removal and re-installation of the supercharger system with some slightly more updated parts.
It feels noticeably stronger now, and we hope to get some g-tech numbers before taking it to a drag strip.
