Dear foolish idiot- thank you for buying one of our crappy cars that will break down and leave you stuck in the desert every time you drive it!

Actually it translates to:
"Don't charge the battery with the charger without isolating it from the car electrical system".
Must take a look at my 928 to see if I have anything like that under the battery lid.
By the way there are so many of those garish red interiors on whitish cars in the Emirates they almost look stock! There were some oyster 996's here with red interior trim, green seats and white carpets. They were a special order of something like 40 of them to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Sultan's accession- in the colours of the national flag.

Thank you FredR! I have wondered what that translated to in English. I had a US spec 86.5 928 for a while, but never paid attention to the sticker there in it. Funny about the color preferences over there. I am up in the air as to whether I want to see a pic of the multi-colored 996 or not. :-)

Who in there right mind would put a LS motor in a 928... (This comment is for Tony77...lol)
Truth be told...I like the interior entirely red. And actually, you missed a chance to follow in the mindset of national pride thingy, by doing the carpet in blue...as Fred talked about.
One detail I find strange...is the three raised bumps (one horizonal and two smaller vertical ones) in the drivers door jamb. Don't ever remember seeing these on my two, 78/84 or in pictures of others.
Anyhow, good luck with your project. And since folks are throwing their two cent around...I'm going with the original restoration route (glad I got that off my chest and it was the best two cents I've ever spent...lol)
Brian.

Wow! I missed the blue carpet, patriotic thing all together. Don't think I am going to go that way though because I bet blue tires would be difficult to find and really expensive. ;-)
Looked back at the pic of the door jam and am not sure what you mean about the raised bumps. Do you mean the e-brake handle and two buttons? The rear most button is the trunk release and the front button was a multi position adjuster for the head lights (disconnected in this car during federalization). If that is not what you mean (most likely) maybe you can describe their position in relation to the e brake handle.
I appreciate your comments.
