Don't look too close at my welds, had to make up for some gaps to make it fit.

Left the small pre muffler and the main rear muffler. Considered adding an "H" by putting in a connector between the pipes, might do that at some pint.
Not much louder at idle, sounds much better at higher rpm's and some 'crackles' on lifting throttle

Nice work. Is the o2 sensor connected to anything? If not, might as well get rid of it too.

The O2 sensor is connected to wiring leading to the ecu by the fuse panel. Not sure what is does, I don't have a check engine light (I mean no light bulb or spot for it in the dash etc). Kept it for now.

Just sharing some more pics, replaced loose sliders on the center console.
The top vent just slides off, H shaped trim is just held on by slots in the sides of the console and needs to be pried (gently so it doesn't break) out.

Didn't need to open the climate control box, just need the front face detached (plastic tabs need to be gentlely bent to get off) - **** didn't need to come off to detach the face, just the sliders need to be pulled off. There is a little barrel with numbers on it that turns when the **** is turned, can fall out easily when the face is off, don't loose it. Pull the fiber optic wire out a little further. Exchange metal tabs for new ones (my new ones were shaped a little differently then original. Put face back on. Thread fibre optic wire into new slider and push through face/new metal tabs. There are tabs lock the fibre optic wire but I put a dab of silicone on the back of the sider once assembled. (pics show already assembled with new metal tabs/sliders - forgot to take pics of it apart!)

the O2 sensor is not supported on your computer,
it would be a good idea to take some pictures of where its connected.

IOW it will not have any effect on the operation of the engine its only installed for looks.
These are the best early cars to drive as they are the fastest

Ok will take a look to see where it connects to and take some pics, interesting that they did that just for looks.
It does drive well! Especially now that I have the belts done, I feel more confident letting it get up higher in rpm.

Well, it connects to a wire leading to the ecu harness, very similar to yours.

followed it from engine compartment and ends up in the little shelf below the glove box. RCA type connector

So I've unplugged it.
the outside of the RCA type connector seems to be ground and with the ignition on, the center has very low +ve current, 0.1 volts...

guess just keep it unplugged?

don't know if it's just my imagination, or whether it makes sense, but the car seems to idle better with it unplugged
