That would be a 33-34 year old harness... there might not be too many serviceable ones left after they are disturbed by being unwound from the car...? Consider a new one maybe?

Like the others have said, buy one or make one. They are all crispy at this point.

Vetter,
30-40 years old wires are much more likely to let their smoke out or have additional problems.

Have Sean make you a brand new one with factory correct wire colors and correct connectors. It can save you loads of time and trouble in the end.

I have one from an 83 auto. If you want it make me an offer and I'll get it pulled.

For whatever it is worth, I replaced my bad FI harness with another one. Yep, that one was bad too...

You are all probably right, just thought I would throw it out there and see if there where any decent used ones left. A new is probably in the near future! thanks

Not sure about grommet, I know 928 Motorsports makes a new harness for $585, and Roger 928rus $700.

The one Roger sells has correct wire colors and correct connectors. The other ones being sold do not.

I've got one that was still in the bag when I bought my 89 S4. Ray Munsch started to install it, but realized it was for a different year, so I ordered a new one from Roger. Not sure of what year it goes to, but send me a PM if you're interested, and I'll take some pictures of it.

Default Wiring Harness

I have purchased Roger's wiring harness and I would say I am very very happy with it. It solved a lot of "weird issues" that were happening. When I torn into the old harness the wires were stripped inside of the protective shield.

Please be careful you are not spreading misinformation. While once upon a time that may have been true, it has not been for quite some time now.

We even commissioned our supplier to make spools of the wires we use is the special Porsche coloring, and have placed the pictures of those spools on our website for all to see.

Our copper connectors are sourced from Germany.
