We are truly fortunate we have Greg in our 928 community!

Good luck with the rest of the build and can't wait to hear about your first few rides in this 928.

Many are envious!

Enjoy,
Constantine

Clean, clean, clean. Very impressive indeed. Having spent the last several months cleaning engine parts I have a deep admiration for anyone who can make old parts look this good.

I was kinda wondering about the drill myself.

Not knocking on Greg's shop in any way, but having a guy posing under the car, holding a drill for no obvious reason is a bit unsettling.

Where? In what?

There are a lot of good reasons for drilling holes in various places, I can't see any good reasons in that picture.

And, for the record, I have a head cold so I'm stuck in the house on the couch. So my "inner smart a** is coming out very strong today.

When designing headers to fit these cars, one has a choice...be able to change the clutch without removing or loosening the headers or move the headers very close to the heat shields.

Since removing or loosening headers to change a clutch isn't on my list of favorite things to do, I chose to move the headers closer to the heat shields.

I hate when heat shields touch the exhaust and "buzz".....and that one is very close.

Photo Bomb Boy was putting in a hole for an 1/8 rivet to keep that one heat shield away from the exhaust.

Fair enough. Makes sense.

Somehow I'm not surprised that your headers are designed so that the clutch can be dropped without loosening them up.
