Default Weird info on Porsche web site

Picked this URL up on the racing forum...
http://content3.eu.porsche.com/prod/...e=rennwagen&19

Check it out, the 944 turbo cup. Then click on "technische daten" ...

Now, I really don't know any german, but doesn't "Motor: Vierzylinder-Reihe, wassergekühlt, Vierventiler, zwei obenliegende Nockenwellen, ..." mean "Engine: Four cylinder row/inline, water cooled, four valve, two overhead camshafts" ...? (or did I get it completely wrong?)

... The turbo cup cars really had 2-valve heads with single cam, right? Sheesh, who writes these documents for their web site...

Interestingly enough the 968 Turbo RS is listed correctly as 2-valve.

I dunno about cup engines but I've seen this warning label in a few:

Yeah, that was in '86 ... in the later models they replaced it with an updated graphic version

Sami951 you've posted twice on this and you've been wrong twice. See my answer on the post

Porsche also listed the 996 as the first water-cooled Porsche on their website. I guess they forgot about the 924, 944, 968, 928, and even the Boxster!

no argument on the water-cooled thing unless they said it was the first rear engined water-cooled Porsche.

Al, yes I posted it twice, as I'd guess not everybody reads the racing forum (I know I only visit there to see cool pics )

I'm not saying Porsche didn't produce a turbo 4-valve ever, I've just always assumed the turbo cup cars were 2-valvers. The car you talk about on the other thread is not turbo cup
