I've written and obtained response from the Porsche HQ offices in Stuttgart before. Specifically, it was to obtain confirmation of the U.S. VIN on my S2 cab when importing it to Europe.

In my communication, I had a turnaround response of about 1 week from them. I used a standard business letter format, with my name and address at the top, followed by theirs, standard introduction, etc. English is fine, but keep the American idioms to a minimum for maximum clarity.

Some pointers:
-They will accept a faxed letter
-Support each requirement with a separate document if possible (e.g. letter from John D. allowing use of the Rennlist logo)
-Provide a snail mail address, as it will be their preferred method of response.

Good luck! This idea has really taken off and I hope it turns out nicely.

Yep - Luis is absolutely correct. However, at PAG - it will go to a different department - and the conduit there will be through the US as the go-between, as it's a US based request and will go to their lead Counsel at PAG.

What we need is the "prose" around a letter asking "permission for use" - short, sweet and to the point.... In short, a brief paragraph on all the points you touched on in your "update"....

Also - I'll e-mail you a Word document consenting use of the Rennlist name - probably tomorrow that you can attach (I'd do it tonite - but Jen's aggravated 'cause I'm still in the office, and she came home from her job a bit ago.. ).

This idea is terrific - now, let's cut the "red tape" - and get it done!!!

Go get 'em!

You could post the letter and let us help critique it.

you guys are segregationsists.. 1st no air cooled cars... now its only 944s and 924s?!?!?

wheres the love for your water cooled brethern? what about the poor 928 owner? and what about the recognition for your fellow boxster owner? and one can never forget the 996 owner. and most certianly how in gods name could you not include the cayenne?

porsche recognizes them as porsches.

No, its just our 924.944.951/968 community here wanted our own thing, the 928ers, can do this if they want to.

Have you ever seen an all 944 (and counterpart) calendar?

I do think a little picture of your car should end up somewhere though, cause your part of the 944 community, hmmm

nah, its your thing, besides, putting a 912 in it would be really out of place, and make no sense. keep it all 924/944/968. it'll look better if its all uniform

btw,

i think its really great you guys are doing this. i cant wait to see how it looks when you guys are finished. i know i want a copy!

If you guys could all start sending me your OFFICIAL entries to be considered for the calendar, that would be great. I'm going to compile a folder with all the pictures, I will pick good ones, and ask you guys for opinions, and get some rennlist member's help on the side too. Make sure they are at least 100-300 DPI, don't even bother sending if they are any less. try and give me Hi-Res photos to please!

Email them to me at Eyal@aero.und.edu

Thanks!

that photo of the 944 drifting is sick!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is a must to be included, i dont care if no one claims it as their pic or not, it has to be included, what a great photo and the whole format rich shows is great. you actually get 2 porsches per month that way, i mean why just use the bottom of the calender for days and make it all whited background thats boring, i love rich's idea go with that one. This way we now would need 25 photos total, 1 for cover, and 2 others per month. Well really 24 now cause the drift pic is a must for all of us i'm sure. If you object to this idea speak up but i see no clutter issues in richs pics at all. I'm down for a calander

if you look in the larger version of the pic it looks like no one is driving, like its just a parked car.
