When I was replacing the bushings, I couldn't get the new ones in myself. So I took the arms and bushings to a machine shop and they did it. They definitely installed them all the way and used the right parts. Maybe they used a lot of heat and that damaged the rubber? The only other thing I can think of is that I have done a decent number of track days on these bushings, including a couple of spins...I wouldn't have thought that would destroy them though.

Wow! Are they OEM bushings or aftermarket 30% stiffer ones. The OEM ones I could see after track time, but they should hold up much longer. Street cars will go over 100,000 miles on those bushings. The 30% stiffer ones use a much harder substance so they wouldn't get destroyed so fast. Maybe the machine shop did damage them with heat. Just like Van said. You won't find out until you remove them

They're are the standard ones from Paragon Products. I think my car had the stiffer ones originally (M030) but no one seems to sell those. Elephant Racing does have a version they call "sport hardness" which might be a good match. Now I'm just trying to decide which ones to buy as a replacement.

What you are describing is exactly what happened to my 951. The stock rubber bushings (brand new) failed after about 15k miles and ~5 years. The rubber itself deteriorated so badly that on any high speed (50+ mph) turn it would vibrate like the wheels were going to fall off. In the end, I believe it was a combination of oil on the passenger side bushing and heat caused them to fail. Replaced them with harder urethane bushings and all is well.

I sell the 30% stiffer ones that I get from Germany. I'm pretty sure they are made of a material called Delrin

poly-urethane bushings are good for certain applications. It's hard as a brick almost, so for bushings like the one you have a problem with they are ok. The problem comes when you use them on sway bars. The front sway bar actually twists inside the bushing and the poly-urethane bushes have been known to rip / tear if they are used in the middle of the front sway bar. They come with lube, but that eventually washes / wears away
