951 hatch border
Hi all, I suspect this is an old topic but the car is relativly new to me. I did a search and found alot of old posts..but hoping there's been new info since
My '89 951 is in great shape overall however the hatch is starting to show the delamination issue with the black border starting to flake off on just the dirver side. No water leaks (yet) so I'm looking to see if if there a way to improve the appearance and keep it looking stock before I have to go the full route of a repair.
can I paint the underside of the glass of the affected area? (though there seems to be some sort of mylar film there) will a heat-gun help re-attach what looks like a mylar film to the glass again? Scrape it all off? (though other side is still good) or just live with it until it needs full repair?
thanks in advance
Kerry
