Default Found a solution for a car seat for my 5 yr old

So I found a solution that will allow my 5yr old to ride legally and safely in the back seat of my recently acquired 1990 S2 cab. Does anyone know the part number of the eye bolt for the "Child Restrained Anchorages" (possibly Canadian only model)? Or does anyone know the size of the eyebolt needed?

thanks

seat belt bolts are some funky non-standard size (that I can never commit to memory). But I did manage to order a set of eye bolts for this very purpose from something like Summit or Jegs some years ago, seems to be a somewhat common item.

Seat belt bolts are in fact SAE (inch) threaded, 7/16", rather than metric. Buckeye, I cannot find the Child Restrained Anchorages on the 944 series part diagram I have. But if what you need is a eye bolt that threads into the seat belt nut, perhaps a generic eye bolt from any race shop will do. For example, https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pr....asp?RecID=630 -- you'd need just the bolt, not the other parts. Hope this helps.

In case anyone is interested, this is what I am using. I'll use the eyebolt for the top latch and its designed to use the lap belt. The kiddo loves riding in the back seat.

Yes, +1 for the Ridesafer vest. I have used it for my kids for years!

I thought a 944 back seat was especially design for 5 year olds.

So if anyone is looking for the eyebolt that goes in the trunk and can be used for the top tether, I found a perfect fit.

So this and the ridesafer vest will have my kiddo riding safely with us.

I checked their FAQ and they have not been tested in the UK
