I pulled the lower oil hose off of my Lindsey Racing Oil Cooler (3X) and took out maybe 1/2 quart. I was expecting much more based on the size of this cooler.

Has anyone else drained their LR cooler and noted approximately how much oil came out?

Measured the amount that came out- 600 ml, or about 2/3 qt.

rough figure you can find:
measure LxWxH of the core to find volume, figure 40% of that volume is actual internal oil flow area for a typical stacked plate/bar plate cooler.

or...pull the cooler from the car, take a fresh quart and pour it in and see how much is left in the bottle when the cooler is full..

can certainly vary based on the specific cooler's design - not all use the same size tubes vs fins...
