I know a few original owners on here got to live the dream.
I'll go:
1986 Turbo
Fuchs
LSD
No Sunroof
Alpine White
Blue script interior with sport seats (heated if that was an option)
Thats it.

Three Wheelin'
Pretty Much the same as my 89 951, MO 30 Air Cruise sunroof Burgundy, Forged Rims, Blaupunkt Stereo with EQ. What would really be cool is if I could order it today... Id Defintely Shell out the cash for a new one...
but a LSD with PDK, now that would be something.. Oh, and a tilt/telescoping steering wheel would be nice...

I'll go.
1986 944 turbo
Manual sunroof
Manual steering
10 speaker sound
M030 suspension
LSD
fuchs wheels
Nautic metallic blue
Can Can red script interior
Sport seats
I realize this option package has some mutually exclusive options (m030 and fuchs for example) and had some options not available in 86; but this is how I would order it.

Basically the car I have now minus a couple factory options. Canadian spec '88S Silver rose (all the options that came with it) with sunroof delete and AC delete.

The high-protein engine and the stout suspension pieces in a 944 stripped of frills – a no nonsense fighter read for any mission from hauling groceries to turning a couple of laps at Le Mans.

'83 model with a full script interior and sport seats
Euro coachwork
Callaway turbo package!
16" Fuchs
Sport suspension package
LSD trans
No factory alarm
Air conditioning, and then actually maintain it until future Michael buys it in 2012
I guess I'm 70% there once I get my sport seats redone and installed.

I still have the 86na I bought new and ordered with:
15 Fuchs
Sports seats
Lsd
Saved a bit by buying the 86 turbo six years later and finding one with:
16 Fuchs
Sports seats
Lsd
Sports suspension
Never bought another car new since, I've either leased new or bought a ~3yo certified pre-owned low mileage with a factory extended warranty. Cannot see the point of paying a premium to buy a new car.

David pagan / If I could today
WOW where to start If i could purchase a brand new 944 turbo , and if couldn't do what i have been doing for last 30 years already,
MY base car would have to an S optioned turbo. or an escort equipped 86 Turbo . When i started looking at these cars they were $25 to 30 k in the mid 80's and not many after market parts availble, But today due to all these great vendors and parts we can build our dream car for allot less today. ( with superior add on parts .
Thank s to all who lUV these P cars
( Then the 968 was born ,too bad we buy them turbo from the factory )
Forged wheels 7 and 9s
limited slip diff
sport interior Porsche script
white
mo 30 optioned of course of bilstein cup suspension
If i could mix and match
1988 1989 car, with 86 suspension offsets, Turbo s brakes, and lsd diff , saratoga glass top

This is a great thread and something I have been contemplating for years. I have been working on getting my car put together in this very way. I am there with the exception of an lsd.
86 turbo, black or nautica blue, light tan interior with sport seats, sport suspension, Fuchs, sunroof, side moldings, and lsd.
It would have been incredible to be able to buy one new and still have it today, I am very envious of those that were able to do that.
