Default Matched injectors - where to get them?

What are some of the suppliers for matched fuel injectors for S2s? I know Lindsey and 928MS sell them - anyone else?

I'm sure Witchhunter will supply you a matched set, or they would match a set you buy elsewhere, used or new.

To match them they just aggressively clean any underperforming injectors to see if they can get them to flow the same as the others. I would not worry about it overmuch on a street car. Fiveoh motorsports is another supplier of injectors you can look into.

Personally I just find used matching EV6 injectors (Ford, Volvo, etc. OEM) and clean the heck out of them, test and install.

You could get a set of 5 or 6 injectors and send them to your rebuilder service for cleaning/matching. I think the S2 uses 24 pounders like the 85-86 928S and Ford 24 pound EV6 injectors are quite common.

Witchhunter, RCengineering, among others will do the cleaning/flow test for you about $25/injector.

Though if you are going to the trouble you might shop for a brand-new injector that matches the original impedance/flow rate...newer stuff has better spray patterns and are QUIETER

All 8-valve NA use "Low impedance / low-z" injectors at about 22lb/hour flow IIRC.
There's probably some newer car that uses a similar injector.

I use South Bay to clean and match my injectors.

A company in the Uk tried ASNU injectors on a 2.5 944 Porsche but had running and idle issues, I don't' know if they were ever sorted, maybe it was the low impedance ? but I see on their page there is nothing listed under Porsche.

Is it possible to do something to an injector to get it to flow closely to another? I thought matching was just a matter of testing a bunch and packaging the ones that are flowing closely out of their individual boxes.

Is sound an issue with injectors? Surely you can't hear them over everything else that's going on?

the injectors are the loudest part of a running 944 engine.
especially the 16-valve models with higher fuel pressure..to the point that Porsche came up with a foam pad to clip to the fuel rail in those cars to try and knock it down a bit.

newer model injectors have better solenoids inside, not to mention fuel spray pattern (or really, squirt pattern for the OE units)

Wow - I had no idea. Do you have a recommendation for replacement injectors for the 16-valve cars?
