[QUOTE=Ftech9;17831910]I also like of the factory airbox, generally speaking I want to keep the engine bay looking reasonably original. So yes, the first MAF housings to be released will bolt up the factory airbox for both the NA ant Turbo.
Hi Joe,
Is the NA MAF version eprom chip programmable for tuning as it for a race engine to adjust camshaft advance/retard, rev limiter rpm and F/A ratio over the rpm range for mapping
Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,

For now, my MAF solution is completely independent form on the chip that is installed. Basically, what I am doing is back-calculating airflow from the MAF sensor signal then emulating the AFM signal. As such, there is no "EPROM" associated with my MAF solution. That said, I am incrementally getting closer to taking over all engine management functions in the near future. When that day comes, everything will be tunable/adjustable via the FocusOBD software.

Default Update #21 911 3.2L Support

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

I Just pushed an update to the FocusOBD software to the website. However, it only adds the ability to detect between the 944/951 and the 911 3.2L vehicle models, nothing else should have changed since the last release. A SPORT DME that is compatible with the 911 3.2L Carrera is now in Beta testing, so the next several updates are to support it. I will get back on MAF development once the 911 DME is fully released.

Best Regards,

Joe Baumbach

Hi Charles,

I will start looking into this shortly, but I do not foresee any issues.

Default Update #20 Data Logging

I am pleased to announce that Data Logging is now in Beta release and available on the website for download!

This is just phase I to make the feature available, there are still several important options I need to implement. For example, it does not check how much storage space is available before it starts recording. It will also record indefinitely until all the available storage space is used up. The phase II release will have a new “Data Logging” Tab to configure storage options and allow you to manage how the logging system behaves. Finally, the Phase III release will play back the log file in the FocusOBD Software as if it was reading it from the vehicle.

This feature is very easy to use:

Step 1: Use the checkbox on the right side of the Data Grid to select the sensor to be logged

Step 2: Click the “Record button” to start logging

Step 3: Click the “Stop” button when finished logging

While recording, the background of the selected sensor(s) will be highlighted in red:

You can graph the sensors while actively logging them:

To open the log file, click the “Folder” button to open its location:

Double-Click the Log File to open it in Excel and even plot the data points if you like:

The 911 3.2L SPORT DME and its OBD+ verion is in Beta testing and is expected to be released soon. The 968, 964 and 944 16-Valve cars are all based on the newer ML4 BOSCH Motronic DME. Serous development on a SPORT DME compatible with the ML4 will not start until the later part of this year and optimistically will be available sometime in 2023.

Thanks for this! I've been using the built-in Windows Game Center (or whatever it's called) for screen capture... which is a bit of pain (and recently stopped working for some reason). This will be much easier.

Looking forward to Phase III ! (And the MAF... I'm really, really looking forward to that )

I've been wondering the same... It looks like the 911 OBD DME is out the door... so I'm hoping!
