Or more like this (PORSCHE on the valve cover):

If it has a 924 part number it must be the 2.0L from a 924. The 2.5L from a 924S would have the 944 part number.

thanks for the response, thats the wierd thing it doesnt look like that, ive also read that the 924 came RWD and Automatic trasnsmition only, and this engine looks like a FWD with manual transmition thats why I am not sure if it belong to the 924

924 was RWD and came in either manual or auto.

None of these cars was FWD...please post a picture.

That head sure looks like a million-pound monster...lol
924 engines had mechanical fuel injection (CIS), did you get the intake manifold?

I just spoke with my mechanic and indeed it was fuel injected but I didn't get the system so we are planning on putting some high performance carburators, but my other question is, should I do it? Since I'm looking that the 924 only had 125 HP which is pretty lame for a Porsche engine

You can get good power out of those engines especially if you are going into custom stuff like carburetion and cams.

See here for some parts and ideas...

And to be quite honest, you'd be better off looking for info on this engine over here...

Rennlist is mostly 944, very few 924 people here (that don't have 924 turbos)

Looks like a WWO casting, FWD transverse motor. Maybe 1.6 or 1.7 liter? Upgrade for a golf cart.

Also I read that 5 cam bearings means it's a Diesel. That might explain why the head looks so massive.
*edit* and not a Porsche engine, if you had not figured that out already.
