A study in contrasts over the period of 22 years and two totally different philosophies of Sports Car purity.
I love them both; today they are both considered 'vintage'

an all original, well cared for survivor....
in both cases

William, the last owner, told me his National Show winning Corvette was also for sale. But he wasn't all that anxious to part with it.
He was going to concentrate on his newer Corvettes, the 60's and 70's MOPAR muscle, and '32 Ford hi-boys in his collection. The only Porsche he owned was now gone, sold to me, and he now had room for several more goodies if he moved on the silver Vette to another. It was priced at around $100,000. And the new owner would have to pass the interview process....

I was shocked to see the condition of these beautiful floor mats

keep in mind, this photo was taken about a week after driving thru the Bighorn Mtns. and back across two states to home. It had not been vacuumed or cleaned yet. These mats are 30 years old in this image.

that one little white spot on the console cover latch was a stubborn one to remove, but the condition of everything else seen here made me quite happy

Heading east across Montana, where speed limits are high and enforcement low and liberal

I have asked this question before a couple years ago,

but has any one since then found another example carrying this Option code 'I82' for Touring Package specs ? Utilizing the Sport Seats, Touring Suspension, Color matched FUCHS alloys, and the host of options I listed on the first several pages of this post ?

It sure would be great if someone discovered a few more of these unique 944s and shared their experiences ......

The photos showing the Monroney window sticker, option tag, and the previous owner's handwritten notes appear in posts #31, #32, #33, and #48 in this thread
