Default 944 S NO OIL PRESSURE QUESTION

Hey guys , I have coworker working on 1987 944 S with just lost oil pressure on a test drive . Its not the oil pick up tube took down the oil pan . Installed new oil pump , new seal at pick up tube , have crankshaft bolt torqued to spec . Theres no oil flow at at Pressure Relief Valve , installed new o rings on Oil Pressure relief valve . Cranking over and I get nothing coming out of OPR valve . Anyone got any ideas ?

Lost oil pressure because it got noisy and seized up, or because the gauge said so?

Always verify that the gauge is working first, before anything else...the 944 oil gauge is a piece of ****.

Lost of oil pressure like no pressure with test gauge hooked up . I retorqued crankshaft because oil pump is behind it and if it is loose oil pump doesn't spin .

http://www.clarks-garage.com Did you try to prime the oil pump? I had a gauge issue awhile back, just low pressure. I pulled out my oprv and got nothing also, but my pump was working, so not sure if that is an accurate test. I only ran the engine for a few seconds, too scared to go much longer.

If you remove the OPRV the oil pump will not pull any oil from the oil pan.
