I just came in from driving my car and other than a leaking power steering hose and a tight throttle cable, everything seems good. The new motor mounts make the car idle as if it were new, the new rod bearings brought my warm-idle oil pressure up to 2.5 (was 1.5,) and I would imagine that with the new ball joints, it would track better on the highway. The engine is still warm so I have yet to find out whether or not the sanded oprv or the new oil pickup seal solved my cold start oil pressure delay. Two questions that I have are: Is an alignment really necessary? I have not taken the car on an extended test drive so I don't know if it wonders. I also observed that prior to this undertaking, my car started up immediately when I cranked the key, now it seems that I have to crank the key for about 3 seconds before the car turns over. Its not a big deal, for all I know it could be psychological, but is this indicative of a problem? Oh yeah, thanks to everyone who answered any questiosn that I had along the way.

Since you had the crossmember off, an alignment is a good idea.

Congrats on your success

Great job getting it all back together! The little O-ring fixed my oil problem.

Thanks guys. Brad, as long as I'm free that weekend I'll be there. David and others, can I go to any tire place and get an alignment? About how much should an alignment cost for the 944?
