Default Rod Bearings

While I am in there (man dont we know that feeling!) I am going to replace the rod bearing on my 195K mile motor. Anyone know the best source for them and about what they should run?

Less than $50 for either standard or one over.

I got mine from Paragon about a month ago for around $50. And for those people who think 944's aren't real Porsches, my rod bearings had a 928 part number.

Since Paragon has them, that is all I need to know.

ahofam it owuld make sense because a 928 motor is very similar to 2 944 motors.

I know, but when I got the rod bearings, I was just reminded of the 928 vs. 944 thread a while back where some of our misinformed listers thought that the 944 engine was an audi design.

Don't forget the pan gasket! Also, here's some tech help:

Might as well get the crank lightened, replace the clutch and flywheel, new limited slip, rear seat cargo area cover and throw in the heater clip for good measure...

Good Luck!
