Porsche Museum celebrates 924/928/944/968
Ok.... This is my first post in 8 years. We can blame my two children (7 and 4) for keeping me away (the only "child-appropriate" vehicle I've been driving is an Audi S4 Wagon, which still feels like driving a truck....).
I happened to be in Frankfurt, Germany for business with two extra days to spend. One free day, I spent making a pilgrimage to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart (the other free day was spent going to Nürburgring for taking laps in a rental trackcar....).
And by chance, this Tuesday happened to be the opening day of the Porsche Museum celebrating the transaxle water-pumpers!!! They got rid of their 80's and 90's cars -- like 911SC, 964, 993, 959 -- to celebrate us!
Highlights: 924 prototype, 924 Turbo Targa, 944 Cabriolet, 944 with rear-engine all-wheel drive, 928 aluminum body, 928 station wagon, 928 convertible, 968 Roadster, and the very last 968.
Stay tuned for when I get home this weekend and I can post some pictures. Apologies in advance: I only have crappy iPhone photos....
In the meantime, here are some teasers:

Furthermore, on May 22 Porsche celebrates Transaxle-Day and offers more fascinating insights.

Dude, you must be joking, iphone is a god in terms of picture quality.
I cant wait to go myself, maybe in May. Coming to think of it, on 22May i'll be returning from Silverstone in my 924s...i'll try to reach Stuttgart in time to catch this event.
I love that 968 Roadster.

Are there any more details about 22?

Interesting. The 968 cutaway used to be located at a Porsche museum in Austria. It looks like they brought it back to Germany. I would love to see it.
If you are thinking the blue cab is the "last one" it is not. Matter a fact, it is a 1993! And a US car.
