Default Say a prayer for Kenny Brack

He was just in horrific wreck at the IRL finale. They haven't yet gotten him out of what's left of the car. Say a prayer.

Wow, that sucks
Scary, I was just watching the CART race with my girlfriend and telling her how much safer racing is now as compared to years ago.

Prayers for him! Just hang in there, Kenny, that's all you need to do right now, so the emergency crews can help you.

Yahoo news says he is awake and alert and being helicoptered to a local hospital. That sounds hopeful.

Anybody else have better info.

They're going to give an update on Sportscenter on ESPN at 7. Looking at the crash I'm amazed he's conscious-this was one of the worst I've seen, only the tub seemed left of the whole car.

You should have seen it LIVE!!!! I just came from there. Maybe the worst IRL crash I have ever seen. You can almost never see the accidents at TWS, this one was unmistakeable.

I'm glad he's still hanging in there! I hope he has a full recovery. That's one of the worst crashes I've ever seen.

You still have a point... ten years ago a similar crash would've resulted in him being six feet underground. I really hope he makes a full recovery...

that wmv file is really jumpy. I can basically guess that they touched tires, right?

Hey Matt, you meant TMS, right? Texas World Speedway is down by Houston...

Regardless... terrible accident and amazing that he survived at all. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Kenny!

Scott - I spend so much time at TWS I forget where I am - yeah I meant TMS. There was so little left of the car I thought initially it was the fuel cell!

Horrific crash. The car immediately went airborne and into the fence. Totally destroyed. Took a long time to get him out of the car. Last I heard he was alert, being flown out. Any updates.

That was really ugly. it did look like they touched tires.

A prayer goes out.
