Square tires for staggered 15" wheels

The Sumitomo tires are big improvement from the old Goodyear tires.
Drove to Tire Rack and had them installed - $333 total.
The ride is much, much smoother and quieter. Wow!!! What a difference. The GY's were rocks.

Want to bump this up...
Don't need tires in a hurry but would like to get stickier ones for my 944 when the time comes.
Been running all-seasons since 2006 because it was my only car...nowadays I have another car for "winter" which just means rain here...so I can put better rubber on the toy car
What is out there aside from the crazy-priced Pirelli P6000? I have 15x7 and 15x8 wheels, don't really want to change wheels. Currently running Falken ZE912, they are good but I think could be stickier.
I see the Sumitomo tires recommended above but they have a really high treadwear rating, 600, which would mean they don't stick as well as something lower. How are you guys finding them?
What else is out there in the 215/60R15 size?

There are no summer tire options in the stock size except the P6000. Best option is to go to 205/55 and deal with the smaller diameter. There are even more options if you include 205/50, and there are track options at 225/50.

Don't think I can jam a 205 onto an 8" rim though.
And 225/50 is a tiny, tiny little donut of a tire...used to have them on the front of my car, only really works if the car is lowered.
225/50 is 1.25" or so smaller in diameter than stock 215/60!
Now that I am back at stock ride height, there'd be a YUGE gap to the fender.

It is barely a stretch. 205s recommend a 6-7.5" wheel, and the section width is 8.4 generally, so it won't look stretched at all. https://www.google.com/search?q=205+...+wheel&imgrc=_

225/50 is under 24" diameter.
A stock 215/60 is 25.2".
So the car would sit 0.6" (5/8") lower to the ground and have 0.6" more gap from fender to tire.
This looks fine on a lowered car but on a stock-ride-height car it would look like a 4x4..

I've never mentioned or referred to a 225/50 ?
I did illustrate and suggest a 215/60 or 205/60 would be ok on a 8x15"
I'm baffled where your 225/50 has come from? wasn't me........
