Changed out knock sensors, repaired harness in that area. Oh and while looking into loose grounds, dropped the bolt into the bellhousing

Sheesh. Always hear the warnings about that. What exactly does removal involve?

Since pulling the starter, fishing with flexable magnet and turning the engine by hand didnt remove it. Now we begin removal of the driveline engine block back......

If I had to do that work again (same thing happened to me last year) I'd pull the engine. At least that way, you can do some useful servicing with nothing in the way.

Got a new output shaft seal; for my transaxle yesterday. When installing these seals, be certain not to go too far with the insertion on one side..There is no metal lip inside to catch the seal..if you do what I did, it went all the way through the cover and into the pinion area, damaging the seal in the process. I think it's the side opposite the cover plate. I wound up using an old driveline bearing to tap it in with and also used the depth gauge end of a pair of calipers to get it reasonably square to the case. Comments please, if you wish.

Wiz,

AASE Sales. They have decals for several years but not for 84, so they agreed to make them for me. I figure that they're in the system now and should be available. The guy I dealt with (Tucker) was very accommodating.

Installed a 140.00 craigslist trans after cleaning it up and replace all 4 shaft seals, going to do the same to the trans I pulled out and set it aside as a spare, so far the CL trans works great!
