Default N/A Intake on a Turbo ?

Has anyone actually tried or done this out of interest ?

I was referring to the two types on the ITB Thread, today I found a picture of the two together which makes for an interesting sight I think looking at the way the numbers 2,3 & 4 Inlet tracts on the turbo are a meandering shape to stay the same length as the long straight number 1 I think ?

I did hear, (like you do) that the N/A manifold 's 4 tracts flow rates are more equal than the turbo ?

Makes me wonder that Porsche's must of had no choice but to redesign a new Intake and the airbox, because of the additional turbo installation.

I've heard that the turbo manifold was designed to physically clear the turbo. You'd have to see if the NA manifold wouldn't interference with the turbo.

Dimi944 tested the 951 intake on his 944 and it find some power at the high rpm zone, like 4-5hp at peak.

I might try it, too.
