Default 924 headlight motor/mech into 944 late?

Will a late model 944 na accept the early 924 headlight motor and linkage, as a bolt in affair?

Tricky one to know I think until you try it...

Can't you find a late linkage / motor from a breaker?

There's a very high chance it's all the same, but you can never be sure 100%

My understanding is the parts are the same, but on some 924 variants the motor was on the other side vs the 944. Just flipped around.

On my 78 the motor is smaller & the linkage looks like the same design only skinnier! The 78 is under a pile of snow at work so its difficult to measure. Thanks for feedback.
